Skinny Wednesday - Dr. Dale Matthews
Pat Robertson interviews Dr. Dale Matthews, author of The Faith Factor, about the connection between faith and physical healing.

Dr. Matthews is a cum laude graduate of Princeton University. He earned his medical degree from Duke and completed his internship and residency training in Internal Medicine at the University of Connecticut. In 1983 he was awarded a Robert Wood Johnson Clinical Scholarship at Yale where he completed a fellowship in Clinical Epidemiology and conducted research on patients' perceptions of physicians. Dr. Matthews was awarded the George Morris Piersol Teaching and Research Scholarship of the American College of Physicians in 1988 and in 1977, a Humility Theology Award from the John Templeton Foundation. He is the author of "The Faith Factor: Proof of the Healing Power of Prayer," six other books, five teaching videotapes on the doctor-patient relationship and the spiritual dimension of medicine, and over 60 scientific articles. He practices and teaches General Internal Medicine with an emphasis on individualized, patient-centered and spiritually-sensitive treatment.
